Overall objective is, in cooperation with organizations of the Civil Society, to establish a democratic, participatory and inclusive environment for social development.

The work of the DED technical assistants aims at increasing the self-reliance of the partner organizations and their capability to pursue their objectives in transparent and accountable ways.

Disadvantaged groups  - such as ethnic minorities, the Dalits, poor women, children – should be enabled to participate actively in evaluation and decision-making processes concerning their living conditions. Social and technical skills of theses groups should be enhanced via the support of NGO’s and other civil society actors. 

Capacity building of civil society organizations at national and local levels should finally allow inclusive and participatory poverty reduction.
